I am a photographic plastic artist based between Annecy and Paris.
A graduate of a journalism school with a master’s degree in film history, I have used photography over the years as a personal journal.
As a child, I spent a lot of time in my mother’s painting studio, where I could observe the creative process. The use of pigments fascinated me. This is where I developed a passion for color, both as a vehicle for emotions and a carrier of messages.
Today, I focus on first-person narratives, where the intimate and the universal intersect. In my work, I adopt and play with the codes of autofiction and documentary, with one foot in reality and the other in the imagination.
La Brûlure (The Burn) (2021–22) is the first chapter of a three-part visual project merging monochromatic treatment and contemporary issues. In this initial series, I burn my images with orange to question megafires and the Pyrocene era.
Softness Will Set You Free (2022–2024) serves as the second part, continuing to explore what color can do, where I use pink as a visual "band-aid" to counter the violence of the world.
For me photography is the most appropriate medium not only to capture the inner pulse of a society but also to question it.
